Moving Day!!!

Joe and I are moving into our new place today. It's a condo/townhouse in Point Loma, and it has 200 more square feet than we have right now!! Score!! Also, we're going to be a lot closer to the beach, clower to Joe's work, and in a MUCH nicer neighborhood. I'm really pumped....

We are family!

Surprise, surprise. My baby bro DOES read my blog still! He has responded to the Four Things.

I absolutely LOVE my family. Each one of them. My brothers and sisters are some of the coolest people I have the pleasure of knowing. It's hard to be two thousand miles away sometimes. I miss out on a lot of day to day stuff. Soon enough, I shall be back. And then they will probably all get on my nerves.... :)

Married Life Rocks.

Joe and I got married on January 14th. Married life rocks. It's crazy to think that the person laying next to you in bed is the person who will be laying next to you 50 years from now. Makes you feel pretty darn lucky...

Four Things...

So I shamelessly coerced Andy into tagging me for my four things...

Four jobs I've had:
1. Warranty Administrator at Airlake Ford.
2. Waitress at Bakers Square (where I met my future husband!)
3. Nanny for newborn triplets.
4. Labor and Delivery nurse.

Four movies I can watch ALL THE TIME:
1. Moulin Rouge.
2. The Sound of Music. (Dost I detect a theme?)
3. Sense and Sensibility.
4. Fawlty Towers. (Not really a movie, it was a British sitcom that they only made 8 episodes of. John Cleese at some of his funniest...)

Four places I've lived:
1. Lakeville, MN (Go Panthers)
2. Northfield, MN (College really IS some of the best days of your life.)
3. Honolulu, HI (Don't hate - congratulate)
4. San Diego, CA

Four TV shows I love to watch: (we don't have TV, so I watch when I can...)
1. What not to wear (they're so cruel!)
2. Alias ( I LOOOOOOVE Jennifer Garner!)
3. Lost
4. Anything cool on the History Channel

Four places I've vacationed:
1. Tampa, FL
2. Innsbruck, Austria
3. Atlanta, GA
4. Fort Francis, Ontario

Four of my favorite dishes:
1. Joe's homemade soup (I reeeeeally lucked out in the husband dept...)
2. Dad's chicken wings
3. Mom's beef stew
4. Pretty much any kind of pasta

Four sites I visit daily:
1. Questionable Content
2. Andy's Blog and Flickr site
3. The Nest
4. St. Olaf (not so much daily, but I do like to check into the ol' alma mater)

Four places I'd rather be right now:
1. Back home in MN. Probably hanging out with my best friend.
2. Backpacking in Europe (cheesy, but true)
3. Lanikai Beach
4. At the cabin in Ottertail.

Four people I will tag:
1. My brother Ben
2. My sister Amanda
Um, that's it. I don't know anybody else with a blog in which to write the fours...

Caution: New post coming soon...

I've decided to write again. I think I became overwhelmed with the thought that I should be writing some long and interesting posts (ala Andy), but I don't have to. I can just write one or two sentences about anything, and it will be interesting to ME. That's all that matters. :)

Big and Small

Last night I attended two c-sections for two of my patients. The first one delivered a 5 pound little peanut. I mean, this boy was CUTE. Unfortuneately, he already had a receding hairline, but other than that, he was adorable. You hardly knew you were holding a baby!!

The second - The mom had been pushing for about three hours. This darn baby just wasn't coming out. So we went back to the OR for a c-section. Well no wonder!! Out popped a TODDLER! TEN POUNDS FIVE OUNCES. I swear to you, I wanted to start curling her to work out my biceps. She was massive. And, as a result, was not quite as cute as that little five pounder...But, all babies are fresh from heaven, and therefore a joy, a wonder, and a miracle. In other words, you just HAVE to love them. This little girl's dad was 6'4", which probably accounted for a bit of the size. Andy, you better tell Anna to look out.... ;)

Where does the darn time go?

I keep thinking that my life is too boring to write anything about. I don't think anyone will be that interested...too bad. I'm writing anyway. :)

Joe and I went up to Palm Desert last weekend. His parents were in town for vacation. We were both talking about how much we love that we can just pack a small bag and take off for the weekend. I think we're gonna go up to Santa Barbara this weekend. Hooray for road trips!

Work is going really well. I've had a couple emergency situations in the past month, which have shown me how much I've learned so far. It's a lot!!

Wedding plans continue. I'm taking it task by task. I think if I try to take on too much at a time, I'll get way too overwhelmed.

What I'm looking forward to most in the coming months: Going to Michigan for Andy's wedding, and meeting "Bun"!! My bestest friend in the whole world, Katie, is due April 16th. Right now she's got the cutest little belly. I only hope I get to be there for the big event!! It's kinda hard to PLAN these things... :)

Soundtrack o' the moment: "Hyperballad" - Bjork
"Le Monde" - Thievery Corporation
"Better Things" - Massive Attack
(feelin a little quiet)
